Position Summary

We’re looking for a Scientific Associate, who will be responsible for ensuring that scientific materials produced are of high quality and supported by current scientific thinking; with the ultimate goal of maintaining and building our scientific reputation.

Our ideal candidate has a client-service mentality and is eager to partner with other Scientific colleagues, Account Services, Editorial and the Production team as well as opinion leaders and other internal and external scientific professionals, to ensure ongoing, positive relationships.


  • Write materials such as slide decks (both disease state and product specific), product monographs, website content, scripts for animation and educational videos, executive meeting summaries, education and training brochures, and new offerings developed by the company.

  • Perform literature searches on background of drug and/or therapeutic category in keeping with strategic direction

  • Understand and execute strategic direction and content

  • Client interaction including answering questions regarding content, attend meetings & demonstrate knowledge of content, and participate actively in teleconferences and onsite meetings

  • Liaise with client to meet project timelines

  • Identify permissions needed to be obtained for reproducing copyrighted material

  • Fact check documents for medical and scientific accuracy

  • Facilitate submission of materials for medical, legal, and regulatory reviews

  • Work effectively in a team-based setting Note: Employee is responsible for other duties as assigned.


  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability and comfort with presenting to large groups and acting as knowledge expert

  • Willingness to learn other therapeutic categories or outside area of focus and demonstrated ability to read and understand scientific/medical articles and data

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment and meet tight deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player and develop negotiation skills

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Advanced degree in biomedical sciences (ie, PhD, PharmD, MD)

  • Post-doctoral experience not required
