Position Summary

The Group Copy Supervisor is responsible for copy produced for one or more brands, at every phase of the creative development process.


  • Mastery of the history of the concepts/creative, strategy, market landscape of the brand and client
  • Creative owner of multiple brands
  • Responsible and accountable for oversight of the maintenance and strength the brand equity and evolving it in the marketplace
  • Oversee the consistency and continuity of the brand across a variety of tactics in the concepting, execution, referencing and annotating of sales promotional materials
  • Responsible for partnering and “big picture thinking” as it relates to the client, internal team and account services counterpart
  • Embrace and follow Creative Criteria
  • Present creative in internal meetings
  • Client contact - offer strategic and innovating solutions, add/contribute to client meetings, present creative work and attend med legal review and market research
  • Direct line management of creative brand(s) team including delegation & management of workload
  • Provide meaningful contributions in the form of concepts/ideas to new business pitches, pro-bono and in house work
  • Identify and implement solutions to problems with process and/or inter-departmental interaction
  • Team leader and presenter for new business pitches to which they are assigned
  • Read, interpret and act as expert in clinical data
  • Liaise with Editorial Team



  • Bachelors Degree in English preferred
  • Bachelors Degree in Biology or related field, a plus


  • 6-8 years experience in Advertising or related field


  • Evidence of creative ability/talent (e.g. book of work)
  • Demonstrated writing and concepting ability including the ability to write quickly (i.e. in a fast paced environment)
  • Effective communication, presentation, delegation, negotiation, time management, line management, decision making and influencing skills required
  • Ability to develop competitive communication strategies (e.g. “how to sell against competitors”) and innovative/strategic ideas
  • Comfort with or an educational focus in math or science required
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
  • Demonstrated business acumen, passion for the industry, work ethic, ability to be a team player, manage multiple projects, establish an information hierarchy, and work self directed/independently
  • Demonstrated, confident and positive leadership including the ability to focus on the big picture and group goal, building morale, solving problems, and managing emotions in a faced paced environment
